OUR STORIES
COSTA RICA
2023
In 2023, we teamed up with El Faro, a non-profit dedicated to empowering underprivileged children through after-school programs. Beyond providing nutritious meals, El Faro offers academic support, sports activities, and a safe haven where kids can avoid negative influences and pursue positive goals.
We spent a memorable day with the El Faro kids, sharing stories, playing soccer, and witnessing their athletic spirit on the field. Inspired by their enthusiasm, we pledged to return and contribute to their growth by donating essential soccer equipment.
This partnership reflects our commitment to fostering positive change in the community. We remain dedicated to supporting El Faro and its amazing young beneficiaries as they strive for success.

2019 (Anaheim, CA)
In 2019, a dedicated middle school teacher from Anaheim reached out to us. Her story resonated deeply. Not only was she an educator, but she had also taken the extraordinary initiative to start a soccer team for her students. However, the school, located in a disadvantaged area, lacked the resources to support the team. Without proper equipment and gear, their dream was at risk of vanishing.
Touched by their determination, we saw an opportunity to make a difference. We provided the team with essential soccer gear, but our support went beyond that. We shared a lunch with them, creating a space for connection and understanding. Their stories were inspiring, highlighting the profound impact teachers can have on their students' lives. Witnessing the joy ignited by the prospect of playing soccer, fueled by their teacher's unwavering spirit, was truly heartwarming.
This experience reaffirmed our commitment to empowering communities and individuals. We are honored to have played a role in supporting this incredible team and their dedicated teacher, ensuring their passion for the beautiful game could continue to flourish.
ECUADOR
2018
In 2018, during another unforgettable trip to Ecuador, we forged a partnership with FUDELA, a remarkable non-profit born in March 2005 under the Ministry of Social Welfare. FUDELA dedicates itself to aligning local, national, and international initiatives that champion high impact human and social development projects. Together, GS4K and FUDELA embarked on a mission to deliver soccer gear, equipment, and cleats to underprivileged children supported by FUDELA.
These children, some bearing the scars of past trauma and abuse, found solace and connection through the power of soccer, thanks to FUDELA's vision. Witnessing this firsthand was an incredibly moving experience, reaffirming our purpose and the transformative impact sports can have on vulnerable youth.
We hope to continue collaborating with FUDELA in the future, bringing joy and hope through the beautiful game.

AFRICA
In 2018, a shared passion for positively impacting children's lives brought us together with Soccer Shots. When they contacted us after planning a trip to Africa and needing soccer equipment, gear, and training tools, we saw an opportunity to make a real difference.
We connected with Soccer Shots and happily provided them with the resources they needed. Seeing the photos of the children receiving the equipment filled us with an incredible sense of accomplishment. It was a reminder of the power of collaboration and the joy of giving back.

2017 (Santa Paula, CA)
In 2017, the GS4K program continued to make a positive impact on young athletes. It all started when a soccer club from Santa Paula, California, reached out to us through the US Soccer Foundation website.
They were in need of some equipment, uniforms, and soccer balls, and we were eager to help.
Santa Paula FC is located a few hours north of our base, but that didn't deter us. We made the trip to meet the coaches and some of the kids, hear their story, and provide them with the gear they needed.
The look on the kids' faces when they saw the new equipment was priceless. They were so excited to have new jerseys, shorts, and socks to wear on the field. The coaches were also grateful for our support, and they told us how much it meant to the team.
We are proud to be able to help young athletes in need through the GS4K program. It is a rewarding experience to see how a little bit of help can make a big difference in their lives.
2016
ECUADOR
GS4K journeyed to Quito, Ecuador, to partner with El Nacional, a local professional soccer team. El Nacional runs a commendable school program that offers underprivileged children aged 10-16 a safe space to learn, eat, and play soccer.
Recognizing the power of education and sports to steer children away from trouble, GS4K donated soccer equipment, balls, shoes, and uniforms. They even had the opportunity to play a game with the kids, marking a memorable beginning for GS4K's official non-profit journey.
This trip is merely the first step in our mission to make a positive impact on more kids, who love soccer as much as we do, in the future.
